Privacy at the Campaign Desk
This site is a set of static pages with no accounts, no forms and no advertising. The short version is that almost nothing is collected; the rest of this page says exactly what almost means.
What this site collects
The pages here are static. There is no account system, no login, no comment thread, no contact form, no newsletter signup and no shopping function, so there is no mechanism on the site through which you could submit personal information even if you wanted to. The only way to send anything to the desk is by writing to the address on the contact page, using your own mail client.
What this site does not do
- No analytics script, no tag manager and no visitor measurement product.
- No advertising, no advertising network and no retargeting pixel of any kind.
- No cookies set by this site, and no local storage or session storage written by it.
- No fingerprinting, no device identification and no cross-site tracking.
- No mailing list, and no address collected from anywhere on the site.
- No data sold, rented, shared or brokered, because none is gathered to begin with.
Third parties involved in loading a page
Two external services are used to deliver assets, and requesting a file from a server means that server sees the request. This is stated plainly because it is the only third-party contact a page here makes.
| Service | What it delivers | What it necessarily sees |
|---|---|---|
| jsDelivr | The Bootstrap stylesheet, its icon font and its bundle script | The request for those files, including the requesting address and user agent |
| Google Fonts | The three typefaces the site is set in | The request for the font files, including the requesting address and user agent |
Neither request is made on behalf of this site to identify you, and neither carries any information about you that this site added. Each provider operates under its own terms and its own privacy policy, which are the documents that govern what happens to a request once it reaches them.
Server logs
The web server that hosts these files keeps ordinary access logs, as web servers do: the address a request came from, the time, the path requested, the response code, the referring page where the browser sends one, and the user agent string. These records exist to keep the site working and to investigate faults or abuse. They are not combined with anything else, not used to build a profile, and not shared for marketing.
Email sent to the desk
A message sent to the desk address contains whatever you chose to put in it, plus the routing information every email carries. It is read to answer it. Messages are kept while a thread is open and while a correction arising from it is being made, and are removed afterwards unless they are part of a correction record that a published page refers to. Nothing from an email is added to a list, and there is no list to add it to.
Please do not send private keys, seed phrases, wallet exports, account credentials or anything similar. The desk has no use for them, will not ask for them, and cannot act on them. A planning question never requires any of that to answer.
Links that leave this site
Pages here link outward in two ways. Documentation links point at primary sources so a reader can check a protocol claim directly instead of accepting it on this desk's authority. Other links point at tools and services related to the subject of the page. Once you follow any of them you are on someone else's site, under their terms and their privacy policy, and this desk has no visibility into and no control over what happens there.
Changes to this page
If the site starts doing something it does not do today, this page changes first and says what changed. A quiet addition of a measurement script with an unchanged privacy page would make everything else here worth less, so the order is fixed: the page is updated, then the behaviour is. Questions about anything on this page go to the address on the contact page.
